| Code: All specimens are identified by color.
Hot Rolled (HR) specimens are painted black on one end and Cold Finish (CF) specimens are painted white on one
end. The other ends will have the color that identifies the type of steel. Materials, other than these ferrous steels,
will only have one color to identify it. The only exception to this is, 304 stainless steel which is coded Black/White. |
